KINGSWOOD PROJECT
IATC - TAFE NSW
Façade
Kingswood is now home to the newly constructed IATC TAFE NSW campus, a modern educational hub, architecturally distinguished by its rain screen facade system equipped with GRC panels.

THE CHALLENGE
With innovative architectural choices come stringent regulations. The design of the facade, with its unique system, necessitated an in-depth peer review and the creation of an F.P 1.4 Performance Solution. This was crucial to ascertain and certify the facade’s weatherproofing integrity in accordance with the National Construction Code of Australia.

THE APPROACH
TBES's involvement in the project was marked by a systematic and comprehensive approach. The initial phase was a desktop study, analysing and reviewing all previous facade designs pertinent to the project.

THE SOLUTION
Having meticulously studied the prior designs, TBES orchestrated the F.P 1.4 Performance Solution, ensuring it aligned perfectly with the stipulated procedures outlined in the National Construction Code of Australia.
This thorough scrutiny and solution-centric approach not only validated the architectural choices but also fortified the building's resilience against environmental factors, ensuring a robust and lasting structure for the TAFE campus.
